Delhi-Panipat stretch to be 12-laned

A 70-km long stretch of road between Mukarba Chowk in Delhi to Panipat would be 12-laned at a cost of Rs 2,128.72 crore.

NEW DELHI: A 70-km long stretch of road between Mukarba Chowk in Delhi to Panipat would be 12-laned at a cost of Rs 2,128.72 crore, an official statement released today said.

As per the statement, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today approved the move in a meeting with Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal here.

Haryana Finance Minister Abhimanyu and Public Works (Building and Roads) Minister Rao Narbir Singh were also present in the meeting.

This road would have 17 minor bridges, 10 new flyovers and 15 major road junctions, the statement said.

Ongoing development projects of Haryana were also reviewed in the meeting, it added.
