NEW DELHI: The Delhi Development Authority ( DDA) has cleared four proposals of the city government for allocation of land for setting up hospitals. However, one proposal was not cleared because of encroachment.

The Delhi government had approached DDA seeking land for hospitals at Bindapur, Model town, sector 22 in Naraina, Rohini and Mahipalpur.

This information was shared in the Lok Sabha by Minister of State in the Urban Development (UD) ministry Deepa Dasmunshi.

"Out of the five proposals, four have been cleared. The proposal for allocation of land at Mahipalpur has not been cleared due to encroachment by JJ cluster. The proposal will be cleared after revised layout plan for alternative site is cleared," Dasmunshi said.

In response to another question related to DDA in the Lok Sabha, Urban Development minister Kamal Nath said till July 2013, prosecution sanction sought by CBI had been issued in respect of 13 officers.
