MUMBAI: Provider of global business information Dun and Bradstreet has launched its inaugural publication - India's Leading Infrastructure Companies, 2007 on the country's infrastructure industry.
The publication is a authoritative reference on the major infrastructure companies in India, chronicling major players in three sectors - power, telecom and construction.
"The development of infrastructure of a country is one of its most essential economic underpinnings. India is ranked 62nd on the recent World Economic Forum infrastructure index, as against China's 60th and that of Russia at 61," Dun and Bradstreet India's President and CEO Manoj Vaish told reporters here.
This indicates the comparative status of infrastructure in various emerging economies and is also an indication of dormant opportunities in the sector in India, he said.
