Centre includes Pasighat in East Siang for Smart City Mission

ITANAGAR: The Centre has included the Pasighat town in East Siang district under the first phase of Smart City Mission (SCM).

"Pasighat will now get special funds from the Union Urban Development Ministry," Lok Sabha MP Ninong Ering said in a coordination meeting held at Pasighat yesterday, an official release said today.

"After detailed evaluation of all urban local bodies, the Union Cabinet gave approval and it was a remarkable achievement and a special gift on the occasion of Solung Festival," Ering said.

Earlier, East Siang DC Isha Khosla urged all officials to contribute their best services to make the mission successful, the release added.
