NEW DELHI: With the Union budget for 2015-16 round the corner, the infrastructure sector is ready with its wish-list, hoping for a favourable treatment from the new government.

The India economy has made a good start to the year with a stable government at the helm followed by the RBI reducing interest rates, said Raj Kalady Managing Director, Project Management Institute ( PMI) India.

However, considering the government’s blueprint to change the appearance of Indian Infrastructure, streamlining infrastructural projects is the necessity of the hour, he reitrated.

Kalady also said, according to a recent McKinsey report, currently project delays and cost overruns cost India 2% of its GDP. "Incorporating project management practices along with policy reforms will augment the end results that would aid the Government & Corporate India in facilitating a better future for Indian Infrastructure.”
