Bengal govt offers 278 acres to firms for Rs 1000cr investment
West Bengal today offered 278.5 acres of land to 10 cos both in the private and public sector.

"We have offered land to 10 companies and total quantity is 278.5 acres. This would facilitate Rs 1,000 crore investment," state's Industry Minister Partha Chatterjee said.
Among the companies that got land include Damodar Valley Corporation at Raghunanathpur in Purulia for water pipeline to thermal plant, Jayshree Tea for fertiliser plant and HPCL for LPG bottling at Panagarh industrial park.
Meanwhile, West Bengal Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation will create five industrial park on 100 to 300 acres of land at South Dinajpur, Coochbehar, West Midnapore, Purulia and South 24 Parganas, Chatterjee said.
