Bengal government clears 3 projects which will fetch Rs 1800 crore in two years
Over the next two years the project is likely to fetch an investment of more than Rs 300 crore, the minister informed.

"The proposed Integrated Textile Park at Belur, coming up on a plot of National Iron & Steel Company, will house around 5,000 power looms. While the initial plan was to set up mega power looms in the area, the state decided to accommodate handlooms and dying units on the premises," Chatterjee informed.
The state government is expecting an investment of Rs 1,400 crore in the Belur textile park.
The state will also float global tender for the Eco tourism park at Banarahat in Jalpaiguri district. Apart from star category resorts, the project spread over 100 acres will house budget hotels, craft villages, convention centres and a youth hostel. Over the next two years the project is likely to fetch an investment of more than Rs 300 crore, the minister informed.
He claimed that chief minister Mamata Banerjee has asked the officials to speed up the work of the Silk Park in Malda. The project is also likely to fetch an investment of Rs 100 crore.
