Ashwini Vaishnaw unveils Railways FY26 wrap: 119 Amrit Bharat stations & all-weather Kashmir link

Indian Railways has highlighted key infrastructure progress for FY 2025–26, according to updates shared by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw. The Udhampur–Srinagar–Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL) project continues to advance, with critical structures such as the Chenab and Anji Khad bridges forming part of the all-weather connectivity plan for Jammu and Kashmir. In the Northeast, work on the Bairabi–Sairang rail line is progressing to connect Aizawl to the broad-gauge network. Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, multiple stations are being redeveloped to improve passenger facilities and multimodal integration. The ministry said these projects aim to strengthen connectivity and support regional development across India.
