US dollar mixed, gold down in European morning trading

The US dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading on Friday morning. Gold fell.

LONDON: The US dollar was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold fell.

The euro traded at US$1.5686, down from US$1.5699 late Thursday in New York.

Other dollar rates: _106.81 Japanese yen, up from 106.77 _1.0260 Swiss francs, down from 1.0267 _1.0152 Canadian dollars, down from 1.0186 The British pound was quoted at US$1.9811, down from $1.9829.

Gold traded in London at US$930.75 per troy ounce, down from US$939.75 late Thursday.
