September IIP grew at 4% versus 2.7% in August: ET Now poll
NEW DELHI: The Index of Industrial production ( IIP) likely gre at 3% in September versus 2.7% in the month on August, says an ET Now Poll. The consensus range of the poll is between 4.1% to 2%.

The poll estimates that the mining sector index witnessed a growth of 3.2% versus 2% in August. While the manufacturing likely grew at 2.9% versus 2.9% in August, the electricity sector may have seen a growth of 3.7% versus 1.9%.

The poll participants feel that the September IIP data will be better than that in August on account of policy measures taken by the government over the August-September period.

The capital goods contraction is likely to moderate and the pace of expansion in consumer goods will likely remain stable on a month-on-month basis.
