India's ranking in the United Nation's Human Development Index (HDI) remained unchanged at 135 in 2013, reflecting little improvement in the living standard of its people, according to the 2014 Human Development Report, Sustaining Human Progress: Reducing Vulnerabilities and Building Resilience.
