The country scored higher in gross capital formation, investment in new business, industrial cluster development, growth rate % of PPP GDP/worker and computer & information services exports .

India slips in Global innovation rankings, down to 66th position
India has been ranked 66th in the Global Innovation Index 2013, down two notches since last year. The country scored higher in gross capital formation (ranked 9th), investment in new business (20), industrial cluster development (29), growth rate % of PPP GDP/worker (14) and computer & information services exports (1), but fared poorly in political stability (123), ease of starting business (128), school life expectancy (109) and pupil-teacher ratio (108).
