India last in intellectual property protection and enforcement rankings

For the second straight year, India has been placed at the bottom of a ranking of countries assessed for protection and enforcement of intellectual property practices.

While India scored 6.95 points out of a maximum 30, the US topped the US Chamber of Commerce’s latest Global Intellectual Property Centre International IP Index with 28.5. Report says India continues to allow for the deterioration in its IP climate.
