India has again become promising, says Harvard Business School Dean Nitin Nohria
"Today...is an extraordinary time for India, now people are not as excited about China as they were 5 years ago," Harvard Dean Nitin Nohria said.

There is an amazing opportunity for India in terms of business and investment, he said.
"Ten years ago, people were excited about India and five years after that it became wait and see.. Today again they are extremely excited as democracy has given a clear mandate that this leadership represents," Nohria said.
He said that India has suddenly become a promising opportunity for global investors who want to park funds outside their countries.
"But people will wait for six months to see if the initial excitement translates into concrete action. There is guarded optimism," Nohria said after giving a pep talk to top officials of power, coal and renewable ministries, including minister Piyush Goyal.
Nohria said that investors were not as excited as earlier about China as that country has shown some signs of slowdown.
Nohria, the first Indian dean of Harvard Business School, flew to India specially to address the ministry officials on leadership attributes. Goyal, who earlier invited author Chetan Bhagat for a talk with his ministry officials, said that the new government believes learning is a continuous process.
Bhagat, had on June 1, addressed officials of coal, power and renewable energy ministries on how to synergise functions.
Meanwhile, environment minister Prakash Javadekar invited Shiv Khera, an author and business consultant, to be the key note speaker at a meeting of his ministry on June 6.
