Inflation eased to a six-year low of 4.6% in FY25, according to recently released data by the ministry of statistics and programme implementation (MoSPI). However, inflation didn’t hit all Indians equally. 14 states and union territories outpaced the national average, with Manipur leading the chart at 6.5%. Rural India faced higher price pressure than urban, with the widest gap in Jammu and Kashmir. Anoushka Sawhney takes a look:
