CHANDIGARH: Several activists owing allegiance with the BSP led by party's Punjab youth chief Rajeev Kathuria on Tuesday staged a semi-naked protest against the rising inflation in the country.

The activists shouted slogans against the UPA Government at the Centre and sought Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's resignation with immediate effect for his alleged failure to check inflation.

With bare chests, the activists alleged that commonman in the country was not able to get two square of meals in a day due to hike in prices of essential commodities in the Congress regime at the Centre.

Kathuria lashed out at the Centre's policies and programmes that according to him failed to control the rising prices each day.

"We are against the Congress and its policies and programmes and will remain so in near future as well," he said.

The protesters demonstrated in one of the busiest sectors of the city.
