Workshop on visa on August 23

KOCHI: A workshop on Visa for temporary export-import of goods between International borders will be organised here on August 23.

The workshop, organised by industry body Ficci in association with Commerce Ministry, would highlight ATA Carnet an internationally accepted customs document used by members of the exporting community from India, to travel abroad with commercial samples for participating in exhibitions, trade fair or for a business promotion tour.

It permits duty free temporary admission of goods into a member country without the need to raise customs bond, payment of duty and fulfillment of other customs formalities in one or a number of foreign countries, a press release here said.

K N Raghavan, Commissioner of Customs, Kochi will inaugurate the Workshop.
