Wooing investors from India, Bahrain said there were vast opportunities for investors as the kingdom offered 100 per cent foreign ownership of business assets and real estate.

KOCHI: Wooing investors from India, Bahrain said there were vast opportunities for investors as the kingdom offered 100 per cent foreign ownership of business assets and real estate.
Addressing an interactive session on business opportunities in Bahrain, Hamad Al-Mohammed, Adal Hameed, Business development officers and Dr Ganesh Raja, Country representative of Economic Development board of Bahrain spoke at length on the various opportunities for investors.
There was free movement of capital, profits or dividends, more than 65 bilateral agreements on trade investment and avoidance of double taxation, and world class telecommunication infrastructure.
There was equal treatment of domestic and international companies. The cost of living at Bahrain was lower compared to major cities in the GCC nations. Another attraction is the Bahrain International Investment Park which provides office space and industrial units.
The session was organised by the Export-Import Bank of India, Bangalore and Indian Chamber of Commerce.and Industry.
