Utah, an economically vibrant state in the US seeks cooperation from Indian companies to expedite research in life sciences and is also signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian companies for the purpose.
NEW DELHI: Utah, an economically vibrant state in the US seeks cooperation from Indian companies to expedite research in life sciences and is also signing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Indian companies for the purpose.
"Out of three most important areas in which Utah is working, life science is the area where we are seeking partnership with Indian companies," Utah Governor, Jon Huntsman Jr told reporters here on Monday.
The University of Utah, on behalf of the state, is signing MoU with global healthcare, a Naresh Trehan-promoted group and with outsourcing company, Globerian, for the cooperation.
"We are also going to sign some more MoUs with Indian companies in Mumbai tomorrow. The MoU will focus more on sharing information, providing training and education, and in the field of clinical trials," he added.
Utah with a population of three million people is taking the research in a big way and recently one of the faculty member from University of Utah, Prof Mario P Capecchi got the Nobel Prize for research in life sciences for 2007.
