KOLKATA: There are several areas of potential cooperation between India and Poland. Poland is proud of its innovative attitude. Sooner or later, Poland will also become a member of Euro Zone. It is important to raise the trade volume between India and Poland.

This was stated by Prof Piotr Klodkowski, ambassador of Poland to India. He was speaking at a CII meet in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Sebastian Domzalski, first secretary and head, economic section, Embassy of the Republic of Poland, New Delhi affirmed that in 2009 Poland was the only country in the European Union to register positive growth. He stated that the potential areas of cooperation between India and Poland lie in energy, oil and gas, mining, and food processing besides other areas.

He also said that currently the prices are going down and this is the right time to invest in European Union. He said that Poland is strong in innovation and technology innovation is another area of potential cooperation between the two countries.
