An 18-member high-level official delegation from Qatar held talks with its Indian counterparts on issues of mutual interest in a number of sectors.

Qatar delegation discusses investment, petrochem in India
DUBAI: An 18-member high-level official delegation from Qatar has held talks with its Indian counterparts on issues of mutual interest in a number of sectors, including investment, banking and finance, energy, petrochemicals and fertilisers.

The Qatari delegation, led by Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater, Undersecretary in Ministry of Economy and Commerce, visited New Delhi on 25-26 March, a statement from the Indian embassy in Doha said here today.

India's delegation at the official discussions was led by Arvind Mayaram, Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs (DEA), Ministry of Finance and included India's Ambassador to Qatar, and senior officials from a number of Ministries/Departments.

According to the statement, the two sides held discussions in the framework of close relations and growing cooperation between India and Qatar. Delegation level talks and meetings between counterparts from the two sides were also held.

Both sides agreed that there is a vast potential to further strengthen cooperation in various sectors and decided to actively follow up the discussions.
