Export of natural rubber declined by 18 per cent to 468 tonnes in November this year due to fall in domestic production.

NEW DELHI: Export of natural rubber declined by 18 per cent to 468 tonnes in November this year due to fall in domestic production.

Rubber exports stood at 568 tonnes in the same month last year, according to the Rubber Board data.

Total exports of natural rubber during April-November period was also down by 49 per cent at 4,633 tonnes, against 9,179 tonnes in the same period last year.

Production of natural rubber dropped by 7 per cent to 91,000 tonnes during November 2013 against 98,000 tonnes in the same month last year.

Similarly, consumption of natural rubber also came down by 3.57 per cent to 76,500 tonnes in November from 78,245 tonnes in November 2012.
