Morocco has sought to strengthen its trade ties with India, saying sectors ranging from automobile to agriculture and power to tourism were open for investments now.

RABAT: Morocco has sought to strengthen its trade ties with India, saying sectors ranging from automobile to agriculture and power to tourism were open for investments now.

"There is place for you (India) in Morocco and it is now," Prime Minister Driss Jettou said on Friday in a meeting with India's Minister of State for Industry Ashwani Kumar.

"Morocco is particularly focussed on automobiles, agriculture, power and tourism as promising sectors for Indian companies to set up partnership arrangements," he said.

The Prime Minister said that Morocco's economy was getting diversified, providing opportunities for overseas investments. India needs to seize the great opportunities existing here, an official statement quoted him as saying.

The Prime Minister asked business delegations from India to visit Morocco and interact with companies in the power sector and agricultural machinery.
