BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh government and Free State province of South Africa have signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation in socio-economic spheres.

State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Free State province of South Africa Premier E S Magashule signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) here yesterday, an official release said today.

According to the MoU, MP and Free State province will cooperate with each other for economic progress in key areas of economic and urban development, infrastructure development, health and health care, education and skill development, tourism, agriculture, agri-business, food processing, investment and trade.

In accordance with the principles of equality and mutual benefit, both the states will support each other for peaceful progress.

In case of any ambiguity regarding any issue or subject, amicable solutions will be arrived at through bilateral dialogue and discussion, the release said.

Chouhan had recently visited South Africa where he met Magashule and held discussion on common interests in areas like tourism.
