India's soymeal exports declines by 15.81% between Apr'13 to Aug'13

Export during August 2013 has increased substantially to 1.839 lakh tonnes as compared to 0.100 lakh tonnes in the same period of previous year.

India's soymeal exports declines by 15.81% between Apr'13 to Aug'13
KOLKATA: India's export of soymeal between April to August of FY13 has been pegged at 7.023 lakh tonnes as compared to 8.342 lakh tonnes in the corresponding period of the previous year - a decline of 15.81%, according to Soybean Processors Association of India ( SOPA).

However, export during August 2013 has increased substantially to 1.839 lakh tonnes as compared to 0.100 lakh tonnes in the same period of previous year.

During current Oil year (October'12 - September'13 ) exports stood at 32.99 lakh tonnes as against 36.2 lakh tonnes tones last year, showing a decrease by 8.86%.

The data has been collected and compiled by SOPA based on the information received from the members, port authorities and other agencies. The data does not include exports to Pakistan, Nepal and Bangladesh by rail or road.
