In May 2025, India's exports to the US stood at USD 8.82 billion, while imports were reported at USD 3.8 billion.
During April-May 2026-27, the country's merchandise exports rose marginally by 0.5 per cent to USD 17.3 billion, while imports increased 19.43 per cent to USD 11.14 billion.

India's exports to China surged by 24.8 per cent in May to USD 2 billion, while imports from the neighbouring country rose 23.4 per cent to USD 12.8 billion. The trade deficit stood at USD 10.8 billion.
During April-May 2026-27, the country's merchandise exports to China rose 25.85 per cent to USD 3.8 billion, while imports jumped 22.15 per cent to USD 24.7 billion.
India has also recorded positive exports growth to Singapore, the UK, Tanzania, Germany, South Africa, Australia, Sri lanka, Itlay and Vietnam during the reporting period.
However, exports to the Netherlands, Bangladesh and Nepal registered negative growth in May.

On the other hand, imports from Russia, Korea, Singapore, Japan, Germany, Thailand, Malaysia and Brazil increased.
Imports from Brazil rose 358.83 to USD 1.35 billion in May, while imports from Peru grew 208.94 per cent to USD 781.52.
