NEW DELHI: Businessmen from India and Yemen are working out plans on projects worth two billion dollars, the initial understanding on which was reached today, industry body Assocham said.
"Senior executives of 45 companies from India including five officials in the rank of advisor are giving final touch to proposed deals that are likely to be concluded in next few days," Assocham Secretary General D S Rawat said in a statement.
The projects being considered by the businessmen are in the fields of health care, ceramics, agriculture, cosmetics, leather, gems and jewellery and power generation, he added.
Assocham said the initial understanding between the Indian and Yemen businessmen was reached at a three-day seminar that started in Yemen from today.
"This is for the first time that Assocham has organised a three-day exhibition at Sana (Yemen's capital) in which 45 Indian business representatives had put up their stalls to showcase the strength of domestic business," Rawat said.
