PM Modi arrives in Slovakia, receives grand welcome from Indian diaspora
New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico elevated bilateral relations to a comprehensive partnership and the two sides also concluded a Letter of Intent on promoting defence ties during the first-ever visit by an Indian prime minister to Slovakia in Bratislava.

Following talks, MOUs on cooperation in the field of digital technologies, labour migration, higher education and research, and audio-visual creation were exchanged. The two leaders underscored the importance of strengthening defence and security cooperation as one of the key pillars of the bilateral partnership.

They agreed to encourage regular consultations and exchanges between their respective defence authorities to explore opportunities for enhanced collaboration, including in defence technologies, capacity building, research and development, and defence industrial cooperation. The two leaders explored avenues for collaboration in AI and supercomputers.
