NEW DELHI: A blend of Indian heritage and development achieved in the last decade, to which the capital city was a major witness, will be showcased at the India International Trade Fair to be held here from November 14.

In keeping with this theme, the Delhi pavilion will be named 'Delhi@10', Manoj Parida, managing director of Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC) said in a statement here.

Commonwealth Games, to be hosted in the city in 2010, will also get due attention at the Pavilion with mascot of the games 'Shera' to be shown sitting proudly on the roof of the Stadium at the venue.

The low cost houses for the urban poor being constructed by the DSIIDC, which manages the pavilion on behalf of the Delhi Government, will also be promptly displayed, it added.

Also highlighted will be the imposing Red Fort with the country's first and present prime minister, Jawaharlal Nehru and Manmohan Singh respectively unfurling the national flag from its rampart, Parida said.

The idea is to highlight the fact that Delhi has not lost any of its heritage and ancient culture even while stepping into the world of modern multi-modal transportation and ultra-modern telecommunication, he added.
