India, Bangladesh sign MoU on cooperation in health, medical science

As per the MoU, the main area of cooperation will include exchange of medical doctors, other health professionals and experts, development of human resources, exchange of information on health and medical science and health research development.
The cooperation will also be in regulation of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and cosmetics, besides health promotion and disease prevention.
Fostering cooperation for the development of culturally sensitive and effective public and professional awareness campaign including clinical and best practices guidelines for healthcare providers and caretakers will also be part of MoU.
The MoU is aimed at promoting cooperation between the two countries in the fields of health and medical sciences through exchange of scientific materials and information and joint collaboration in research in medical science.
Institution-level cooperation in the fields of medical treatment, scientific research and training and exchange of health specialists and professionals will also be conducted.
Training for doctors and health workers by both the parties in the areas where they have relevant expertise and excellence will also be initiated as part of cooperation.
