NEW DELHI: India and Guyana discussed bilateral, regional and international issues of mutual concern, focussing on the need for reforms in the United Nations, climate change and the WTO Doha Development round.

Minister of State for External Affairs Anand Sharma who is on a three-day official visit to the country met its President, Prime Minister and the Foreign Minister.

President Jagdeo reiterated Guyana's strong and principled support to India's candidature for permanent membership of UNSC.
