Dairy, sugar kept out of New Zealand FTA

India-NZ FTA: Major exclusions include dairy products; vegetable products; sugar and sugar confectionery; and animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils.

Under the free trade agreement (FTA) with New Zealand, India has offered tariff concessions on 70.03% of its tariff lines, while the remaining 29.97% have been placed on the exclusion list, largely covering domestically sensitive products.

Major exclusions include dairy products; vegetable products; sugar and sugar confectionery; and animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils.
