New Delhi: The commerce ministry will hold workshops across the country to disseminate information about benefits of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) finalised by India, a top government official said on Monday.

Commerce Secretary Rajesh Agrawal said India has operationalised five FTAs in the last five years.

He urged the industry to leverage these pacts.

"We will be holding workshops across the country to disseminate information about these pacts," he said.

India on Monday announced that a trade pact with Oman will come into force from June 1.
