CII exhibition to host exhibitors from Pakistan, Afghanistan

More than 60 companies from Pakistan with their exclusive range of products ranging from designer garments to hand-woven carpets and onyx marble products are participating this year.
Besides, exhibitors from Chicago will display home appliances and companies from Afghanistan and Thailand will bring utility items, carpets, handicrafts, home decoration and furniture and furnishings to the exhibition, a CII official said.
'States of India Pavilion' will have exhibitors from Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal and Rajasthan showcasing their specialties in handicrafts, suits, sarees and other hosiery articles.
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) will have 'Social Expo' pavillion, wherein small- scale entrepreneurs and artisans, NGOs, and Self Help Groups (SHGs) will sell their handmade articles.
"The Social Expo Pavilion will offer variety of products from NABARD and KVIC (Khadi and Village Industries Commission) which is participating for the first time," he added.
NABARD, CGM, Punjab Naresh Gupta said: "We look at this as an opportunity to showcase products like Phulkari suits, Punjabi Desi Jutti, Knitted Garments, Hand-made soaps, herbal cosmetics and processed food items at reasonable rates."
