CIBER Inc opens new SEZ global delivery centre in Bangalore
NYSE listed IT firm CIBER announced opening of its new SEZ (Special Economic Zone) global delivery centre here with a seating capacity of 750.
Prior to this, the company had two global delivery centres in India -- one in Chennai and the other in Bangalore -- catering to the company's global clients.
"Since we started operating in India, our operations have grown exponentially, adding both employees and key skillsets," the US-headquartered company's CEO, Dave Peterschmidt, told a press conference here.
"We are strategically expanding our facility in India, particularly Bangalore, as the talent pool is very large here. We will also continue to ramp up operations at the Chennai centre," he said.
From a modest workforce of 100 employees in 2005, the company's staff count has increased to 1,300 in India in six years, CIBER India Head Vir Bhanu said.
