Aviation ministry-Dubai officials meet to enhance traffic rights
NEW DELHI: Civil aviation ministry officials to meet Dubai counterparts for finalising the enhancement of traffic rights between the countries today, a senior aviation ministry official said. Responding to ET’s query, a ministry official said: “The meeting will be held tomorrow,” to review the bilateral air services agreement.

On being asked whether the Memorandum of Understanding will be signed tomorrow the official replied, “Yes, if all goes well.” ET reported that on Monday, an Inter Ministerial Group headed by civil aviation secretary Ashok Lavasa had given an in-principle nod to the increase in bilateral seat entitlements. However, the increase may only be half of the initial request by Dubai to increase seat entitlements by 20,000 per week. The meeting between Indian and Dubai officials will be to finalise the actual quantum of increase.
