20 nations likely to participate in mega logistics meet in January 2019

NEW DELHI: Over 20 countries including Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq are expected to participate in a mega logistics meet early next year.

Logix India 2019 is scheduled to take place in New Delhi from January 31-February 2. Organized by the Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) aimed at exploring logistics partnerships with India, the buyer-seller meet will improve logistics cost effectiveness and operational efficiencies for India’s global trade.

“Over 100 international delegates are expected to attend Logix India 2019,” said Ganesh Kumar Gupta, president, FIEO.


The meet will focus on investment opportunities in infrastructure development, warehouse consolidation, technology integration and IT enablement and skilling of manpower.

India’s logistics industry is pegged around $160 billion and expected to touch $215 billion in the next two years.
