100 exporters to participate at Kunming fair in China: FIEO
NEW DELHI: Over 100 exporters will showcase their products at the Kunming fair in China next week with an aim to boost India's exports there.

Federation of Indian Export Organisations ( FIEO) said the seven day fair will start from June 11.

FIEO President Ganesh Kumar Gupta said the fair provides a platform to exporters to exhibit their items and interact with buyers.

He will also participate in the China-South Asia Business Forum.

Participants are from various sectors such as leather, jute, textile, garments, handicrafts spices, cosmetics and jewellery, he said in a statement.

"This event will be a good opportunity for Indian businesses to showcase their products and establish trade linkages with not only China, but also with countries of South-East Asia," he added.

These fairs help in increasing exports to China, with which India has huge trade deficit.

In 2016-17, the trade gap stood at $51 billion as against $52.7 billion in the previous fiscal.
