Transparency attracting foreign funds: Gupta

NEW DELHI: Corporate affairs minister Prem Chand Gupta said on Tuesday one of the reasons for the abundant foreign fund inflows is the transparency introduced in administering company law by way of the new electronic data filing and monitoring system.

“When transparency increases, foreign fund inflows will also go up as investors become more confident about governance,” Mr Gupta said, and made a reference to poor foreign investments into the military-ruled Pakistan.
