Tarun Gogoi to participate in Finance ministers meeting in Tokyo

GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will take part in the meeting of Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers in Tokyo.

During the six day stay ministers will study Goods and Services Tax(GST) and related matters.

Chief Minister Gogoi will be joining the official Indian delegation led by Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister, Government of Bihar and Chairman of the Empowered Committee of State Finance Ministers, Sushil Kr. Modi in Tokyo in the deliberations on GST. The Indian delegation will arrive in Tokyo after completing its study on GST in Canada.

Chief Minister Gogoi is being accompanied by Commissioner and Secretary, Finance, RC Joshi, Commissioner, Taxes, John B Ekka and Special Protocol Officer to Chief Minister, Bipul Gogoi.
