SLSWC approves 28 new industrial projects
Most of the new proposals approved were received during recent investor meets organised at Mumbai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad, an official spokesman said.

Besides, it also gave approval to 32 expansion/ diversification proposals of existing units.
These units would attract investments to the tune of Rs 2,500 crore and create 7,891 employment opportunities.

During the investor meets, major emphasis was laid on agro-industrial sector, engineered goods, pharmaceutical products and food health sector.
Lupin has proposed to invest Rs 348 crore for setting up of API facility with an employment potential of 1,500 persons and Rock and Storm Distilleries has proposed to invest Rs 150 crore.
Besides, Indo Rama Industries has proposed to invest Rs 250 crore for manufacturing of Spandex Yarn and Vardhman Spinning Mills' plans to invest Rs 228 crore in the state.
Micro Seamless has proposed to invest Rs 79 crore for setting up of seamless tubes unit with an employment potential of 410 persons and Hafco Agro Infrastructure would invest Rs 54.35 crore.
Him Healthy Farm Food has proposed to invest Rs 54.74 crore for setting up of CA Cold Storage for fruits and vegetables and the project will provide employment to 125 persons.
Presiding over the SLSWC meeting, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said that various projects, with investments of about Rs 2,000 crore, are in the pipeline.
