MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank of India's foreign exchange forward position ‌surged ⁠to ⁠an all-time high of $136.7 billion in July, according to data ⁠released on ‌Monday, driven by an ⁠influx of overseas deposits following its measures to attract dollars.

The forward position jumped by ‌about $33 billion from ​June, taking it ​well ⁠past the previous peak of $106.6 billion ​posted in May.
