RBI allows FII investment in 3 companies

The Reserve Bank on Thursday allowed foreign institutional investors (FIIs) to pick up stakes in three companies Tourism Finance Corporation of India, Tulip IT Services and Info Edge India under the portfolio investment scheme (PIS).

MUMBAI: The Reserve Bank on Thursday allowed foreign institutional investors (FIIs) to pick up stakes in three companies Tourism Finance Corporation of India, Tulip IT Services and Info Edge India under the portfolio investment scheme (PIS).

The central bank has allowed FIIs to buy shares and convertible debentures in the companies pursuant to the board resolutions.

The FIIs holding under the PIS can go up to 49 per cent in the Tourism Finance Corporation and 40 per cent each in Tulip IT Services and Info Edge India.
