Nearly Rs 10.96 cr approved for schemes in Rajouri
An outlay of Rs 10.96 crore has been approved for utilisation on implementation of centrally sponsored schemes in Rajouri district of J&K during current financial year.
This was disclosed by Additional District Development Commissioner Rajouri K L Khajuria while presiding over meeting of functionaries of Rural Development Department.
It was revealed in the meeting that out of total allocation, Rs 2.59 cr would be spent under SGSY, Rs 5.79 cr under SGRY among others.
While giving availability of funds, it was disclosed that under SGSY, out of Rs 2.59 cr, nearly Rs 55 lakh was the state share and the rest from the Centre.
Similarly, under SGRY, 1795 rural development works will be completed which included 12 each of waiting sheds and school buildings, 453 packs paths, 250 under of tractor roads, 50 culvert, 92 khuls, 453 bowlies, bathrooms tanks, 436 paths and protection works, in addition 100 ponds, water harvesting tanks, 60 lanes and drains, 34 wells and 90 number of other minor works within the targeted amount of Rs 4.94 cr as Centre's share.
Under rural sanitation against available funds, 1530 household latrines, 150 institutional latrines and a rural sanitation melt have been proposed for construction. While Rs 15.39 lakh was the state share, Rs 1.19 cr was the Centre's share.
Similarly under Indira Awas Yojna/State Rural Housing Scheme, 460 dwelling units have been proposed to be built in the district. Rs 98.69 lakh will be the central share.
