NCDC disburses Rs 308 cr in Kerala

Kerala ranked second in the country, drawing Rs 308.70 crore from the National Co-operative Development Corporation in 2008-09, accounting for 15% of funds drawn by all states.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala ranked second in the country, drawing Rs 308.70 crore from the National Co-operative Development Corporation in 2008-09, accounting for 15% of funds drawn by all states.

NCDC officials said the corporation had released Rs 3,532 crore in 2008-09 for various co-operative development programmes in the country.

Of this, national majors like IFFCO and Nafed were allotted Rs 1,500 crore and the remaining Rs 2,032 crore went to co-operatives in various states.
