MSSIDC turnover up by 63 pc, recovers Rs 62 lakhs

MSSIDC's budgeted turn over for current fiscal is Rs 218.17 crore.

NAGPUR: Maharashtra Small Scale Industries Development Corporation (MSSIDC) has recorded a 69.03 per cent jump in its total turnover at Rs 179.35 crore during 2006-07, against Rs 123.82 crore registered in the year-ago period, MSSIDC Chairman Avinash Pande said.

MSSIDC's budgeted turn over for current fiscal is Rs 218.17 crore, Pande, a former city MLA, told reporters here.

He said MSSIDC has launched a drive to recover old dues from purchasers of raw material and has succeeded in recovering Rs 62.09 lakhs.

MSSIDC will be generating income to the tune of Rs 1,384.86 lakh from the budgeted turnover during 2007-08, its Managing Director Dinesh Waghmare said.

Similarly, the budgeted expenditure for 2007-08 will be Rs 1,089.26 lakhs and thus, there will be budgeted surplus of Rs 295.60 lakhs for 2007-08, Pande added.

The corporation has earned Rs 5,086.38 lakhs from marketing till August this year from Rs 3,998.32 lakhs earned during August, 2006.

The total earnings of marketing, raw material etc were Rs 6,062.79 lakhs in 2006-07 and Rs 8,214.68 lakhs till August this year.
