Ludhiana Income Tax Department targets Rs 3,999 cr revenues in FY14
The Ludhiana Income Tax today said the zone is eyeing to collect Rs 3,999 crore of tax revenue in the current fiscal.

Ludhiana zone of Income Tax department has jurisdiction over Ludhiana, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Nawanshehar, Moga, Jagraon, Phagwara.
"So far, Rs 2,000 crore tax amount has been collected," Income Tax (Ludhiana) Chief Commissioner Nishi Singh.
She said though important industrial cities were located in the Zone, there were only seven lakh tax payers in it.
She was here to inaugurate 'Aayakar Seva Kendra', set up at a cost of Rs 20 lakh, for providing single-window facilities to the tax payers.
She said similar centers will be opened in Jalandhar and Hoshiarpur next month.
