JK govt gives over Rs 70 cr to set up income generating units

Jammu and Kashmir government has provided Rs 73.82 crore for setting up more than five thousand income generating units in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir government has provided Rs 73.82 crore for setting up more than five thousand income generating units in south Kashmir's Kulgam district.

"An amount of Rs 73.82 crore has been advanced for setting up of 5,278 income generating units under current year's district credit plan by the ending third quarter in Kulgam district," an official spokesman said.

Rs 23.15 crore has been advanced to 2,710 beneficiaries for setting their units under agriculture and the allied sectors, the spokesman said.
