India's credit guarantee support for exporters will require a budget allocation of Rs 2,000 crore ($227.54 million) for the fiscal year 2026, a government source told reporters on Thursday.

On Wednesday, the country's cabinet approved spending Rs 45,060 crore towards providing support to exporters, including Rs 20,000 crore in credit guarantees on bank loans.
