HP budget session advanced by three days, to start on March 9

The four-week budget session slated from March 12 has been advanced by three days to commence on March 9.

SHIMLA: The four-week budget session slated from March 12 has been advanced by three days to commence on March 9.

The session was earlier scheduled to start from March 1 but it was postponed to March 12 due to delay in commencement of budget session of Parliament and the session has been rescheduled.

The session will commence with customary address by the Governor, Urmilla Singh, Chief Minister P.K.Dhumal, who also holds the finance portfolio, would present his tenth budget, fifth in a row, on March 19 and the same would be passed on March 30.

The session, concluding on April 6, would have 20 sittings, including two private members day but there would be no recess.
